Teach English Abroad in Vietnam with CIEE

Description

CIEE Teach in Vietnam presents the opportunity to learn about the developing world of Vietnamese education. You will find yourself working in a local language school, helping students prepare for rigorous international examinations, or in the local universities helping to improve and expand English language education. Your job will be very important as an ambassador of U.S. culture to this rapidly developing market. This program includes an additional day of orientation and the TOEIC-specific workshop and certificate that prepares you one step further to teach students in Vietnam as well as upping your pay scale.

Cost Description:

Your CIEE program fee covers many things related to preparing, training, and supporting your experience. This includes valuable program support pre-departure and in-country. We are your reference board and problem solvers should you need advice or assistance. Additionally, your program fee covers your pre-departure school assignment, an in-country orientation program, one-way transfer from orientation to your host school, insurance coverage, program handbook, teaching guides and tools, and visa acquisition.

Your CIEE fee also covers a 120-hour professional TEFL certification course and TOEIC-specific workshop and certificate.

Living Arrangements:

In most cases, teachers will be individually responsible for their accommodation. A session at orientation will focus on finding housing and support will be given to those that need it. In the major cities, housing is very reasonable and is not difficult to find. In some of the smaller cities, housing may be included by the school to ensure that quality housing is available.

Travel Arrangements:

Travel arrangements are made independent of CIEE. You are encouraged to book your flights after your school placement has been confirmed. Travel from orientation to your school will be arranged.

Application Process:

Due to the demand for native English speaking teachers in Vietnam, we strive to accept as many qualified applicants as possible. However, acceptance rates do fluctuate with the changing demand by local schools; sometimes CIEE is forced to create a waitlist. Applicants are considered on a rolling basis in the order that complete applications are received. Early applications are encouraged.
