Secondary Teachers - Singapore
Description
Our client is looking for the following Secondary Teachers to work in government Secondary Schools in Singapore. The earliest start date will be 9 March 2009. Teachers can request a deferment if she has existing contractual obligation. The next start date is in mid June, followed by end of August.
* Singaporean Curriculum
* NQTs are accepted though teachers with less than 3 years experience will not qualify for certain benefits such as housing allowance.
* NOR N/A and ages 11-18
* English language Secondary Level
* English literature Secondary Level
* History Secondary Level
* Geography Secondary Level
* Economics Higher Secondary Level (GCE A Levels)
* Music - Secondary Level
* Drama Secondary Level
Highlights
Salary and Package:
* Monthly gross salaries depending on qualifications and verifiable teaching experience. Gross monthly salary starts from S$2,800.00 for fresh graduates with minimum a Bachelor degree and a teaching qualification.
* Free Economy/ Tourist Class passage for teacher, spouse and 2 children below the age of 18 to Singapore on first appointment,and return air passage on completion of contract.
* Interest-free settling-in-loan.

* A one-time Temporary Lodging Allowance
Please note that a housing allowance will only be offered to some successful applicants as this is determined by factors such as number of years teaching experience, qualifications etc.
Qualifications
1. Teachers must hold a relevant degree in English Language, English Literature, History, Geography or Economics.
2. Teachers must also have a Teaching certificate in at least one of the relevant teaching subjects (English language at first language level, English literature, Geography, History, or Economics) to teach at Secondary school level.
3. Teaching certificates include Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Diploma in Education or its equivalent.
4. NQTs are accepted though teachers with less than 3 years experience will not qualify for certain benefits such as housing allowance.
