Program Description

Experienced Teacher required for 1 year post in Chitwan, Nepal

Description

We are recruiting for the post of an experienced teacher to work in Chitwan, Nepal for 1 year. Your time will be split between teaching in a local school and at a local youth centre or orphanage. This is an exciting programme for experienced teachers who would like to share their knowledge with children in Nepal and to have an impact on the lives of communities there.

Our Sansar is a UK registered charity established with the goal of providing support and assistance to developing communities with little of no help available to them. We are currently working in Nepal on 2 projects, an education programme and developing a programme and home for street children.

We are looking for people to teach English, Arts, Sports or Geography although other skilled teachers would also be welcome. We are particularly looking for people who are able to commit for one or two years. You will receive all school and public holidays off and there are plenty in Nepal, giving you the opportunity to travel and experience the Nepalese way of living.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching your subject(s) to children at one of our partner schools in Nepal; numbers of teaching hours may vary depending on the school but we will confirm that with you before your departure.
Developing and implementing parts of the curriculum and teaching methods. You will receive constant support with this.
Supporting Nepalese teachers and assisting them when required.
Participating in the school’s life, for example by assisting with organising events or school festivals or organising extra curricular activities for the students.
