Highlights
From a nation of pearl divers and spice merchants to one of the world's largest oil exporters, Kuwait has undergone many exciting transformations. The invasion from Iraq is long gone, and the country has rebuilt itself in spectacular fashion with much oil wealth put back into cities, infrastructure and schools.
A cosmopolitan and modern society that still pays homage to its heritage and traditions, it is a country of exciting enigmas and colourful contradictions. From the warm waters of the gulf to the mysteries of the desert, and from the traditional Arabian markets to opulent shopping malls, Kuwait is a dynamic and diverse country. With so much to offer and more left to discover
Sporty, sunny and wealthy, Kuwait is a 'dry' country that bans the sale of alcohol, but enterprising shopkeepers sell everything you need to brew your own right next to each other on the supermarket shelves! Why not experience the diversity and contrasts for yourself?
