Lead-Adventures - Volunteer Teach English in Ecuador

Description

Don't be stagnant! Take your English skills and use them to get to know Ecuador. With your knowledge of English and you can be placed in a reputable English Academy in Quito. Spend your time earning money and experiencing another culture. We offer a Placement Service with our selected and reputable group of partner academies and schools.

Program Fee Includes:
* Airport transfer upon your arrival in Quito.
* Assistance to get accommodation at host families or student apartments or residences.
* Paid placement at a local organization (Average of 3.5-6.0 USD per hour of class or 400-650 USD per month).
* 4 weeks of Medical and emergency travel insurance provided by a local broker.
* 1 week accommodation in Quito to help you settle down until you find your new home.

- Our placement service is a one time fee of 550 USD.

Highlights

Participant's Role: Participants who are native English speakers and preferably have some experience in teaching will placed in an English Academy in Quito. Once placed, the participant will become an employee of that Academy and continue to work there while staying and traveling around Ecuador.
Location: All placements are in in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, located in the Andes mountains.
Accommodation:
* Home stay accommodations with two meals a day can be arranged if needed.
* Another option is a participants residence shared with other participants or volunteers. This residence comes with single or double rooms, shared or private bathrooms, and communal kitchen.
* We can also assist you finding a single or shared flat or apartment in Quito.

In your free time you can enjoy the following activities:
* Enjoy the Old Town-churches, government, squares and shopping. The historic old town of Colonial Quito is the jewel in Ecuador's crown. The city was designated the first UNESCO World Heritage City in 1978 in recognition of the importance of its colonial architecture (ahead of cities like Bath and Venice).Quito is the city that has the best-preserved, least altered historic centre in Latin America. The monasteries of San Francisco and Santo Domingo, and the Church and Jesuit College of La Compañía, with their rich interiors, are pure examples of the 'Baroque School of Quito', which is a fusion of Spanish, Italian, Moorish, Flemish and indigenous art.

* Visit the "Middle of the World City" where the monument that divides the Northern Hemisphere from the Southern is located. It was built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line. The Ethnographic Museum can also be visited.

* You can't miss the Teleferico, this is a cable car that takes passengers up the flanks of Pichincha Volcano to the top of Cruz Loma. The view from here is spectacular.
