Highlights
Cambodia lies on the Indochinese peninsula. With a population of 14 million, it is bordered in the north by Thailand and Laos, in the east and south by Vietnam and to the southwest by the Gulf of Thailand.
Heir to the past Khmer Empire, Cambodia presents the significant remains of this kingdom that reside in the legendary temples of Angkor. Still recovering from its turbulent past where it witnessed a loss of nearly two million civilians during the Khmer Rouge, Cambodia is a very deprived yet fascinating destination that offers memorising sights to explore as well as a diverse culture and an affable civilisation.
