Go Teach Abroad Scholarship!

The deadline for the 2011 Go Teach Abroad Scholarship is March 20th, 2012. The award for the scholarship is $1,000.

Go Overseas is proud to support international education through scholarships available to students participating in teach abroad programs. The scholarship is awarded based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions. Further details are as follows:

  • Go Teach Abroad Scholarships are awarded each academic year. The award for each scholarship is $1,000
  • Go Overseas will judge entries based on the following criteria: Creativity of writing sample, displayed analytical thinking, and passion for teaching abroad and/or teaching a foreign language
  • The Go Teach Abroad Scholarship is open to all current or aspiring teachers. The sole purpose of this award is to supplement the costs of purchasing materials for use in the classroom or to assist in the funding of participation in teaching program abroad
  • Outstanding Go Teach Abroad Scholarship submissions will be posted on the Go Overseas website. All scholarship recipients will be asked to participate in an interview

This is a fun (but optional) way to show your enthusiasm to study abroad! Copy and paste the URL to your video response. We recommend using a video sharing service like YouTube or Vimeo. There is no recommended length as long as you feel the questions were answered adequately.
