Kate Thomas
Kate, known as ‘Brit’ due to her British heritage, is an aspiring journalist and travel lover. She has her B.A Honors from Lancaster University, U.K , and is currently studying her M.A in Environmental Interactive Journalism at The Reynolds School of Journalism, Reno. She teaches undergrads to fund her M.A and is proud to have been awarded the Ella Savitt Graduate Student of the Year award, and for being the recipient of the Charles G. and Cornelia L. Murray Journalism Scholarship. Kate, a Leo through and through, has a love for the open road, her favorite cities being San Francisco and Cape Town. She loves Highway 1, sauvignon blanc, lists, hiking, her iPad 2 (which she is going to buy next week), Forest Gump quotes, skiing, The S.F. Giants, color-coordination and tulips. She is scared of big spiders and sprouts and gets annoyed by pushy waiters (especially because she has to tip them in the U.S) and cyclists who don’t wear helmets.
